User Manual : Hand Evaluation

Evaluation

We offer three evaluation modes to help you take the best decision

Mode "win / draw / loose"

When both cards from the hole are selected and all selected cards are different, the Evaluate button becomes available. Click it to view the evaluation of your hand.

The evaluation is given using 3 numbers representing percentages, respectively Win, Draw and Lose. It is important to understand that those values represent your chances to win or loose against a single opponent's hole hand, sharing the same board.

Mode "Hand Count / Win / Loose"

With the same hand, the chance to win is not exactly the same if you play against 1 or 7 persons. The "Hand Count / Win / Loose" can be selected with the preferences control panel, this mode works the same way as the "win / draw / loose" mode, but you can choose the numbers of players against you at the table.

You will discover that most of the time the loose percentage is upper than the winning one. But you must consider the overall chance to win. If you have a 40% win figure against 7 players, the 60% remaining are distributed on the 7 other players, so less than 10% for each one, you probably have a really good hand !.

Mode "Expected Gain"

A value above 1.00 means that you should earn money, below 1.00 will lead to an average loss. Virtually, the expected gain is the only statistical factor you need to make your betting decisions, you shouldn't need to take into account the actual cards you have in hand.
